YXE Connects is an annual event that brings together community organizations from around Saskatoon to deliver free services and resources and to build relationships with community members in inner-city Saskatoon. Similar events are held across the country and are considered one-stop shops for under-resourced and vulnerable community members to access services in a low-barrier environment. The first YXE Connects took place in 2015, and since then nearly 100 different organizations have participated with the help of over 100 volunteers to make this event happen every year – to date more than 3,500 community members have accessed the event.

Our priority is to deliver as many services on-site as possible, including hair cuts, massage therapy, ID clinics, tax assistance, housing support, diagnostic services, and much more. Attendees may also collect a care package and a hot lunch. The underlying purpose of the event is to foster connections and new relationships between community members and the many great organizations around the city that can help with everything from housing to education and employment for our most vulnerable community members.

YXE Connects is made possible by a large group of community partners and funders, and is bolstered by generous donations from many others. We would like to thank our 2018 funders including United Way of Saskatoon & Area, Saskatoon Housing Initiatives Partnership, Community Initiatives Fund, and Affinity Credit Union.
